Golden Fiber primarily follows the perspective of high school student Teeanue Lock Frarrian, who works on her free time under the alias Madam Lock, Co-founder of Spirit Bridge Exorcisms. She both works with and harbors ghost. This book follows two timelines to reveal the past that Teeanue has been outrunning ever since she was broken out of Golden Fiber Genetics Corporation when she was five. Perspectives are also taken from Kameal (ghost), Tally (ghost), Zylloa Frarrian (Sister), nurse Cagel, and Test Subject 72.

This book takes place in a not-so-distant future of a world similar to our own.
