Kat and the Dragons
Book two of Sirens
“Kat and the Dragons” is a fantasy novel that focuses on Kathrine, a young college student that got burned by some mysterious amulet, murdered by some random mask guy, and absorbed into some emo dragon prince. It was a doozy of an outing to the movies. Coming to terms with the murder of her friends, Kat struggles with maintaining her sense of, and actual existence of, herself in the mind of the interdimensional traveler named Kail. Kail is absorbed in an endless search for Mila, his childhood hero, who by all evidence died saving him and his kingdom. Fed up with him and his issues, Kat claws her way out using his magic to make a new body. As a ghost cat, she unintentionally falls through time, interdimensional space, and Kail’s past traumas in order to find a way home.
This story explores themes of halo effects, past trauma, memory loss, and choosing your family.
